What is the Cub Pantry?

The Cub Pantry is a choice food pantry serving Franklin Community School Corporation employees, students and their families. Until now, the only food assistance students and families receive is through the Gleaners BackSacks program at the elementary level. Wanting to extend this service to the entire school corporation, Franklin Community Schools, in partnership with Gleaners Food Bank introduces its first school based food pantry!

Pantry Information

Location:

  • Franklin Community Middle School

  • Main Entrance until further notice (drive-thru only)

Time:

  • 4:30-6pm

  • Open the first Thursday of the month unless it falls on a holiday or a day school is not session

Eligibility:

  • FCS Employees

  • FCS Students and families

  • Provide photo ID

  • 1x per month

  • NO income restrictions

Point System

Each item in the pantry will be assigned a point value. Families receive points they can use to "shop" for items in the pantry.

Cub Pantry Point System:

  • Family Size (1-4) = 25 points

  • Family Size (5-6) = 30 points

  • Family Size (7-8) = 35 points

  • Family Size (9+) = 40 points

Food Donations

Non-Perishable Food Items

  • Drop off at FCMS front office Monday-Friday while school is in session OR

  • Contact Monica Anderson at 317-346-8400 to schedule a drop off time at FCMS

Perishable Food

  • Drop off at FCMS front office

  • MUST be donated the same week the pantry is open to ensure freshness OR

  • Contact Monica Anderson at 317-346-8400 to schedule a drop off time at FCMS

During COVID-19

  • All donations are being sent through the Johnson County Community Foundation
